WE SERVE LOCAL and GLOBAL NEEDS

During limited service opportunities, we volunteer at the Elburn Food Pantry. On the First Thursday of the month we send volunteers to distributed food to the clients in the Kaneland School District. We serve about 21 clients in the Community Center. Three people are needed each month. To Volunteer speak to Pastor Nancy Blade or Carol Alfrey.

What Mission is to us!

Our mission field is anywhere beyond ourselves.  Some mission happens within our building as we have always been a community center for gatherings small and large. We founded a child care center, now housed in the old school building with the Library, post office, Township office and bank. Through monthly mission projects we reach 12 organizations with our collections, time and prayers.  Our newest outreach is to Blackberry Creek School and community.  Several founders of our town and church came from Blackberry Creek. Now it has become a thriving community across from the Elburn train station. At risk families will receive our compassionate mentoring starting in September 2021 with the KidsHope program.

There are many other local missions which our church members particpate individually. Beautiful U is a retail shop in Elburn which supports Teenage Moms.  Animal rescue places abound in our area. Check out Casey’s Safe Haven. If it’s music you need, Elburn has a  venue at the Old Elburn Hall which had Wednesday night live music in the pre-covid times. There’s so much we can do to serve God and nieghbor.
